WILSON, Shirley Diana (Moore) – We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our mom on January 22, 2017 in her 83rd year surrounded by family.
Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Glenn Duncan Wilson whom she kept in her thoughts each and every day. Shirley was also predeceased by her parents Lillian and Oscar H. Moore, Sister Marjorie (Patterson), Sister Jean (Merritt). Shirley will be truly missed by her children, Donna, Eileen, Marilyn, Ann (Cliff) Susan and David (Kathy) and nieces Margaret and Susan. Shirley was affectionately known as “Nannie/ Nana” to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Fairmount Home staff, especially to the very compassionate team of 1 South. A special thank you to Stacey Spicer-Hickman and her amazing staff at KDHS (Kingston Dementia Homecare Services). Our mother’s quick humour and wit will be truly missed by the residents, Fairmount/ KDHS staff and family each and every day.
In keeping with her wishes, the family will celebrate their parent’s memories privately. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or the Kingston Humane Society, Kingston Dementia Homecare Services, Heart and Stroke Foundation.
