David passed away peacefully after many months fighting the cancer monster. Throughout his illness he was always strong and upbeat. He was predeceased by his father Gordon, mother Muriel and step-mom Eva. He is survived by his loving wife Liz and all his siblings, Mary Romeril, Cardston, Al, Ellen Fry, Edmonton, Al, Ann Burgess, Toronto, Jean (Bob Chagnon), Niagara Falls, Charlie (Lois),Kitchener, Jim, Hamilton , as well as sister & brother-in-laws Shirley ( Mick Dale) and Nikki (Bob Meadows), England. He will be remembered with love by many nieces and nephews. Dave was born in Hamilton and moved to Kingston in 1961 to open up Shalimar Shoes with his partner Bob Hawkins. After charming the ladies for many years,he retired early to pursue his favourite pastime, golf. He is the envy of his golf buddies, having 4 holes in one. He also spent many winters in Florida, golfing and making wonderful new friends. We travelled to many places, of course Scotland, his father's homeland on more then one occasion. April 2nd we celebrated Dave's Life/Birthday with many family and friends, sharing jokes and memories. He loved every minute. With his easy going nature he was loved by all. I would like to thank CCAC & Hospice for their caring. Special thanks to Dr. David Lee and all the wonderful nurses in the Cancer Centre, Kristy, Shery and all the other caring, loving angels for their compassion and care. Also David in Emergency.
