MacPhail Donald Sr.

The children of Don MacPhail Sr. announce with great sadness the passing of their dad on Monday October 19,2015 in his 79th year. Survived by his children Donald JR, ( Patty ), Larry ( Lori), Janet, Ken and step-daughter Val. Proud and dedicated Grandfather and Great grandfather Don is survived by his twin sister Donna and cousin Miriam Ruth. Predeceased by his parents Lochlan and Freda, wife Maggie , sister Margo and grandsons Joshua and Kelsey. Don was also known as " Fairball" in his stomping grounds of Portsmouth Village. Don's blood ran blue for the Toronto Maple Leafs. One of his proud accomplishments in his youth was having his design selected as the official crest for Portsmouth Public School. His thirst for wisdom and knowledge was admired by many.A graveside service will be held on Friday October 23,2015 at 3:30pm at Christ Church Cataraqui 990 Sydenham Road, Kingston Ontario. For those wishing, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Church Athletic League of Kingston, P.O. Box 21088, R.P.O. Princess Street Kingston, Ontario K7L 5P5.
