UBDEGROVE,Irene Elizabeth (1929 – 2012) Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday August 4,2012.

Irene was the widow of WWII veteran, Sheldon Ubdegrove of Perth Road, Ont. She was the daughter of the late, Floyd Smith & Emma Brewster. She is survived by her sister Mary Kotelmach of BC. Twins: Norman(Edith) of Kingston, Ont. & Norma(John) of Iroquois, Ont. Sister Ona Maki(Oliver) of Elliot Lake, Ont. Glen(Sandra) of Perth Road, Ont. She was predeceased by four brothers, William, Carl, Alva and Neil. She will be dearly missed by her cousin Priscilla Reid and husband David of Frankfort, NY. and her very, dear friend Esther Hopper of Perth Road. She will also be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends far-too numerous to mention, here.

Irene lived in the Perth Road area all of her life and was very active with her church, Perth Road United. She played euchre three times each week. She was also the longest standing-member of the Leland Helping Hand. Her quilting bees over the years will be long remembered. In keeping with Irene's wishes cremation has taken place.A Celebration of Life in memory of Irene will be held at Perth Road United Church on August 11 – 2012 at 3:00 PM Please bring a donation for the Food Bank. Donations to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario UHKF 55 Rideau Street Kingston Ontario K7K 2Z8 would also be appreciated. A meal will be provided after the service .
