Small Alistair D.C. ( 1938-2011 )
On January 20,2011 a retired policeman, a prince among men, Alistair David Craig went to be with the Lord. His death was after a long courageous battle with Lung disease. Alistair was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1938. He was a very special man who knew and loved his Lord, his Lady, his children, grandchildren and great grandchild with a new great grandchild expected in August. He went by the names of Alistair, Darlin Man, Grumpy Ouch, Al, Scotty, best friend, confidante, and neighbour extraordinaire. He was a peaceful man but could become very passionate about the many injustices in the world. He was a man for all seasons of the year., his favourite being spring when all the buds are forming on the trees and flowers are poking their heads out of the ground. New beginnings would always be his comment. He loved good conversations , music, books and writing especially his witty notes to the people he loved. His droll sense of humour allowed him to always find a silver lining in the darkest cloud. A nature lover he was always thankful for the beautiful world our Lord created. He will be sorley missed by all who loved and respected him. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date . Donations to the Lung Association, SPCA, Covenant House, St Joseph's Church or Calvary Bible Church in his memory would be appreciated by the family .
