CORBETT, Stanley Michael. 1945-2015. Professor of Law, Queen's University. Stan passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on May 18 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Jane Russell Corbett, father of Sean Corbett and Alison Baxter (Jim), grandfather of Charlotte Baxter, and brother of David Corbett (Mary). Uncle to Katie Malone (Michael), Michael Morris, Joel and Kirstie Russell, and Samantha Corbett. Predeceased by his parents Stanley William George Corbett and Mary Corbett (nee Denneny) and sister Susan Morris.
Stan will be deeply missed by the many family, friends, colleagues and students who were inspired by his limitless curiosity, touched by his generosity, delighted by his humour and spoiled by his passion for cooking.
A celebration of Stan's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation-Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario 55 Rideau Street unit 4 Kingston Ontario K7K 2Z8 would be appreciated by the family.
