December 26,1953 – January 8,2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Heather Gouthro of Kingston, Ontario in the early morning hours of January 8, 2023. Heather is survived by her mother, Jeanette Gouthro of London, Ontario, also her four children, Mark Murphy (Nicole), Erin Murphy, James Murphy (Monica) and Ron Murphy (Samantha). Heather will also be missed by her 11 grandchildren, Owen, Maeve, Devon, Tiernan, Thomas, Evan, Liam, Gabriel, Mya, Jack and Rhys. Heather will also be lovingly remembered by countless nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles in Kingston, London and down east in Nova Scotia. Heather was predeceased by her lifelong companion James Murphy Sr., father Thomas Gouthro, sister Linda Gouthro, and brother Ronnie Gouthro. As per mom’s wishes, a celebration of life is to be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 at 734 Montreal Street, Kingston, Ontario from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 110-1525 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K1Z 8R9, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 800-2323 Yonge Street Toronto, Ontario M4P 2CP, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) 401 Smyth Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1H 8L1 or SickKids Foundation 835-525 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2L3 would be appreciated by the family.
