Obituary for Christine Charlotte Nicholson
NICHOLSON, Christine Charlotte
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine
Charlotte Nicholson on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Chris left this earth just shy of her
65th birthday and 50th anniversary to her soulmate, Keith. She is survived by her loving
sister and best friend, Lorri Johnson, who was by her side until the very end. She will be
greatly missed by her brothers-in-law, Ken Nicholson and Ronald Johnson, sisters-in-law,
Colleen Yuille and Cathy Nicholson, nephews Matthew, Ian and Alex, and her favourite
niece, Lauren. She is also survived by her in-laws Joan and Bill. Chris was predeceased by
her mother Bernice, and brothers Len and Marty.
We cannot express how grateful and blessed we are for the friends and neighbours that
have supported us through Chris’s cancer journey. She was full of life until the very end.
She spent her last year on earth doing the activities that brought her the most joy in life:
shopping, golf and gardening. She even cruised Alaska with her sister this past summer.
Chris has donated her body to Queen’s University for research. There will be no public
service of remembrance; a small celebration will occur in the spring with close friends and
family. Memorial donations may be made to the UHKF- Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario Suite#4-55 Rideau Street, Kingston, Ontario K7K 2Z8.
A final note from Keith: please hug your loved ones and cherish every moment you have
with them. Chris and I have had more than our fair share of beautiful days together.
