Garwood Lett passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 76. Suffering from a stoke a few years ago, battling cancer, and other health issues in recent months, Gary did not give up the fight. With his son’s Shawn (Susan) and Chris by his side, nursing him, caring for him and sometimes just watching wrestling with him, they did not give up. His visits and spending time with his granddaughters brightened his day; Megan and Abby; Lyla and Zoey; and especially Olivia, holding her in his arms, made his pain disappear. Gary is also survived by his son’s, Christopher, Jeremy and Jeffery, Zackery and his children Alania, Journey, and Tamdyn. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Lett. Dear brother of Joan McConeghy (the late, Doug), Eileen Kennedy (the late John), Gerald Lett (Eileen), predeceased Wanda Gratton (Don); predeceased David Lett (Carol); and uncle to Pat McConeghy, Jason and Stephen Kennedy, Johnathon Lett, Karen Miscio and Dan Gratton, Melisa and Tracey Lett. A special thank you to his dear friend Pam, for checking on him, making sure he took his medication, and sharing your many meals with him, no words would ever be enough to say thank you! Gary worked for Dominion, A&P and Food Basic’s for many, many years, he was the hardest worker you would ever meet. Respecting Gary’s wishes there will be a private family service at a later date.
