Joanie welcomed her freedom ride to an illustrious dance floor on Sunday, July 10, 2022 where she strapped on her dancing shoes and is now surrounded by songbirds, lush gardens and the joy and laughter of family and friends.
Joanie leaves behind a community of friends who loved her dearly. The care she received in her final years demonstrated an overwhelming expression of love, kindness and devotion towards her which allowed Joanie to continue living independently in her beloved farmhouse. Joanie adored you and we are forever grateful.
Joanie will be remembered by many as the Walmart greeter who addressed everyone by name. She made friends wherever she went and displayed a fierce desire to help everyone she knew.
Joanie is missed by Jill, Rolly, Taigan and Tyne along with extended families of Ardern, Fauteux and McGowan.
In Joanie’s honour a donation to your local humane society would be appreciated or plant a garden perennial on her behalf. Keep your lines of communication open and make that call to someone you care about.
A private graveside ceremony will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at a later date.
