Obituary for Myrtle JEAN Dunphy (nee Kerr)
DUNPHY, Myrtle JEAN (nee Kerr)
Mom died peacefully in her home in Amherstview, Ontario on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on July 18, 1923. She is predeceased by her husband William Francis, her sons Brian Alexander and Robin William, her son-in-law Terrance Ekins and her long-time friend George Jeffery.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Valerie, her sons Randall (Sandra) and Greg and daughters-in-law Juliet and Dallas, her nieces and nephew Monty, Bonnie, Lori, Kerry and Christa. She also leaves behind what mom called my almost daughter, Georgia Jeffery, Mona and Raymond.
She was the proud Nanny, Great Grandma and G.G. to 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mom was an avid baseball player right in to her 70’s, she loved watching hockey, no particular team just some players, she also loved watching baseball and figure skating.
A celebration of life will be held at her home on Saturday, July 16, 2022 between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
Interment will take place at a later date at the Pointe Claire Field of Honor.
