Obituary for Orize 'Reese' Davis
DAVIS, Orize ‘Reese’
October 19, 1928 - June 3, 2022
Early in the morning on June 3rd, the Angels came and led Mom home.
Mom was born to Elizabeth Anne Garrah and Richard O'Shea. She was the seventh of their 10 children.
She is survived by her daughters:
Terry Thompson, Judy (Ian) Davis-Young, Roberta Hartwick, son-in-law Jim Hartwick and her son, John Davis. She is the forever loved Nanny of Cory McAllister, Shane (Alida) Davis-Young, Johnathon Davis, Justin (Maryanne) Davis, Erin Davis, Lisa (Travis) Fraese, Anne (Jamie) Diegel, Victoria (Chris) Zuppan, David (Amanda) Miller, Jesse (Cyndi) Hartwick and Lauren (Tom) Hudson. Proud Great Nanny of eighteen and six Great- Great Grandchildren. Also fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Joyce O'Shea and her younger brother Earl and her brother-in-law Albert Davis and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by our Dad John (Jack) Davis, her daughter Carolyn Miller (David), her daughter- in- law Cheryl Davis, grandsons Clifford McAllister and Gavin Davis-Young, and many other relatives.
The family is invited to gather at Cataraqui Cemetery where Mom will join our Dad at 1:00pm on July 20th, which would have been their 74th Anniversary.
We would like to thank all of Mom's friends and those caregivers who became family during the difficult periods of isolation at Providence Manor.
We will always remember Mom's words of wisdom,
" There are a lot of people out there worse off than you, now just get on with it"!
