Obituary for Kathleen (Kay) Campbell (nee Kyer)
CAMPBELL, Kathleen (Kay) (nee Kyer)
April 29, 1938 – May 29, 2022
In her 85th year surrounded by family at her bedside. Kathleen passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2022. Kay will always be fondly remembered and survived by her cherished partner - William Chartier, daughter - Barbara Dean-McCallum (Alan), grandchildren - Leah Campbell, Jessica Serson (Jon Paul), Joel Dean (Nicole) and her great-grandchildren - Oliveah, Easton, Avery, and Scarlett. She also leaves behind her brother Richard and sister-in-law Elaine, many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend of 64 years - Joyce Sauve and many more friends and family.
Kay was predeceased by her beloved parents - Eva (Lafave) and Leonard Kyer of Cornwall, son - William Campbell, son-in-law Kevin Dean, sibling’s - Charlene Spence (Mansel), Helen Groves-Mayer, Jimmy Kyer and two previous loves of her life - Wayne Campbell and Vic Feller as well as her beloved dog who was her pride and joy - Sammy.
A special thank you to the KHSC Kidd 6 nurses - Angela and Maria and the many physicians that made it possible for her to have her final wishes to come home - Dr. Clinkard (Orthopedics), Dr. Duggan (Acute Pain), Dr. Goldie (Palliative Care).
A Celebration of Life for Kay will be held on Thursday, June 9,2022 from 3-7pm at the ANAF Club, 317 Gore Rd, Kingston, ON K7L 5H6. A private graveside ceremony will take place later.
