Obituary for Jan Allen Boyd
BOYD, Jan Allen
June 7, 1952 – February 4, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jan Allen Boyd on February 4, 2021 at Kingston General Hospital.
Jan, in his 69th year will be lovingly missed by his best friend and devoted wife Joan, son Joseph, daughters Samantha Lynn and Heather, sister Kathy (Bill) and sister-in law Ernesta. His presence will be profoundly missed by his grandchildren Savannah, Ethan, Hayden, Joseph and Jackson as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews in Manitoba and Alberta.
Jan served proudly as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infantryman for 20 years attaining the rank of Warrant Officer while serving with the Royal Canadian Regiment.
He saw service in UNFICYP (Cyprus) 2 tours, UNDOF (Golan Heights) while also serving in 4 CMBG Germany (Baden) from 1979-1982. "Pro Patria"
As per Jan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and due to the present situation a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Donations may be made in Jan’s name to the local Legion’s Poppy Fund.
