BURTON, Charles Quinton (5 years Royal Canadian Navy, 32 years Correctional Service of Canada).

After a brief illness, Charles died at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday May 18th in his 85th year. He was born December 25, 1935 in Vancouver, B.C., the son of Robert and Ioda Burton. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Davilyn (2000) and his sister Joyce Sigurdson (2009). Charles is survived by his wife Susan Preen, daughters Leslie Bain-Yorke, Kim Morris (late Steven), Christine Purvis (Jack) and Sue Graham (Vic), 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly by nieces and nephews from Nova Scotia and British Columbia. Respecting Charles' wishes, there will be no public service. Private family internment in the National Military Cemetery of Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario at a later date. Stay safe and be kind to each other.
