YUEN, Martina,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our dear mother, Martina Yuen, on March 19, 2020 at the Kingston General Hospital.
Born to John Bertin and Greta Lapointe on December 2, 1928 in Lorne New Brunswick, Martina slowly made her way to Kingston, Ontario, her home for over 70 years. Our mother immensely enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she was at her happiest when she had our family gatherings. We have many fond memories of having a cup of tea while listening to our mother recount various stories and share history lessons of our family tree. She will be deeply missed but remembered always.
Beloved wife of the late Chester Yuen. Cherished Mum of the late Rose Marie Baird (late James); Anne Lane (Dale); Allen (Bess); Carl (Carla); Barry; Larry (Teri).
Devoted Grandma to David Lane, Jennifer Sebok (Dave); Allyson Butcher (Mark); Kirsten Deanike (Will); Zachary (Sandra); Nikolas, Christopher and Alexander.
Loving Great-Grandma to her precious Lillian, Laiya, Emma, Ryker and Eva.
Martina will be fondly remembered by the many relatives across the west to east coast of Canada, her friends and neighbours.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Providence Manor and Kingston General Hospital - Davies 4 ICU and Emergency, for their care and compassion.
In keeping with our mother's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
