Obituary for William (Bill) Moore

MOORE, William (Bill)

It is with broken yet thankful hearts we announce that William (Bill) Moore, beloved son, father, husband, friend, died peacefully in Belleville General Hospital on Monday, November 18, 2019. Bill remained Bill throughout his 12 years of living with dementia; a man of deep faith, loving, gentle, smiling, and always engaged with others to the limits of his capacity. He was a delight in our lives and will be sorely missed by his mother, Joyce, his soulmate, Lynda, his children, Sarah and Ryan, their partners, Saneel and Erin, his first-love, Wendy, and family and friends worldwide. Bill's baby grandson, Soren William, will learn from many all the great stories of the Grandad he will never come to know. Bill has been welcomed home by his heavenly father, his earthly father, Stew, and his little grandson, Aarav. Let the praise and the party begin. A service of thanksgiving will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Kingston on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 2 p.m. Please do not send flowers. To honour Bill, feed someone who is hungry, visit someone who is lonely, walk alongside someone who is struggling, be grace and blessing in someone else's life, as Bill always was. Thanks to the many friends and the amazing staff of the BSTU in BGH, who have been for us all these things and more over this past six months. So that others too can know the blessing of amazing support, donations are also welcome to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (targeted to the BSTU), the Alzheimer's Society, Kingston, or St. James Anglican Church.
