Passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest Home on Thursday July 25,2019. Ellen Raftis beloved wife of the late Michael J. Raftis and dear mother of Sara ( Mike ) , Peter ( Kathy), and loving grandmother of Braden.Predeceased by her son David. In keeping with Ellen's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the loving and caring staff on Wellington 3 at Rideaucrest and a special thanks to Karen Lahey. Memorial donations to the Senior Centre 56 Francis Street Kingston Ontario K7M 1L7 in Ellen's memory would be appreciated by the family. Ellen had a warm heart and very generous spirit. She spent years volunteering all over Kingston, when she wasn't doing that she was travelling the world.She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will remain close to all of us in our hearts and memories.
