Ferguson Jill Marie
Jill Marie (Savigny) Ferguson, 73, of Sydenham Ontario passed away after a long illness on July 16th with family by her side. She was born to parents Hugh and Edna Savigny on May 6, 1946 in St. Catharines Ontario. Jill graduated from Merritton High School and Queens University. She was married to Robert Cairns for 35 years and is survived by her daughter Trisa (Ferguson) McConkey (Don Cox) and her grandaughter Jade McConkey. Jill taught for 32 years at Sydenham High School touching the lives of more than 4500 students. After retirement, Jill spent much of her time painting and selling her wonderful work. Jill was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Even as her health declined, she always had a beautiful smile for everyone. She received exceptional care from the staff at Providence Care Hospital and was consistently described as staff's favorite patient. A private burial will take place this week at the Cataraqui Cemetery. Details regarding a Celebration of Life will follow
