WILLIAM (Bill) JOSEPH EDWARD LEGERE
June 13, 1929 – November 8, 2016

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Survived by his 2 sisters, Rita and Helen, his 5 children, Gerald, Myles, William Jr., Richard, and Valarie, his 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Bill enjoyed a lifelong passion for country music, accumulating an extensive collection. He was a leading expert in all things country and was frequently contacted to share his knowledge worldwide. In his early days, Bill played guitar and bass fiddle in a number of country bands. In the 80’s, he created and syndicated a series of old country music radio programs in Canada and the USA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in his name.
