Passed away suddenly in his 93rd year on Sunday August 3rd ,2014 at Providence Manor Kingston, Ontario. Predeceased by his loving wife Elaine. He will be sadly missed by his five children ; Carol Lloyd ( Kent) , Robert ( Nora) , Gerald ( Patsy ) , Alan ( Anne), and David ( Susan ). Cherished by seven grandchildren, Michael , Jeffrey, Nicholas, Stacey, Kimberly, Alana and Kevin and five great-grandchildren, Austen, Jackson, Adalyn, Remy and Braylon. Also missed by close friends, Lou and Barb McMahon, Barb Aylesworth, and Winn LaFrance. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Monday August 18, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church , 392 Palace Road, Kingston, Ontario . Inurnment will take place in Chapeau, Quebec at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations made to UHFK Providence Manor Site, 55 Rideau Street , Suite # 4 , Kingston, Ontario K7K 2Z8 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend their thanks to the caregivers, staff, and volunteers at Providence Manor. Also important in Ray's life were the Knights of Columbus, Veterans Affairs and the Royal Canadian Legion 560.
