Obituary for Robert Tarshis
TARSHIS, Robert
Passed away peacefully at home in Kingston, Ontario on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was 99. He lived a full life, staying active and alert to the end. Predeceased by his wife and partner of 61 years, Ethel Baranovsky Tarshis and his sister Rivie Tarshis Putziger. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughters Ellen and Judy of Kingston, and Barbara of Sarasota, Florida, and his dear sister, Helen Tarshis-Shapiro of Montreal. He volunteered doing taxes for the community as long as he was able and was active in the Ontario Horology community - acting as Treasurer for Quinte Timekeepers for many years. In keeping with Robert’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. He will be missed by his many friends and the family he adopted as his own - Dorinda Valente, Jennifer and Jamie Payne, and Stephanie Leonard. His quality of life was enriched by the care he received from SE LHIN’s personal care worker Anas "Sid" Siddiqui.
