THOMPSON, Shelley (Martin)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shelley Thompson (Martin) on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Lennox and Addington Hospital surrounded by family. Cherished mother of Carlee Thompson and Katherine Kelly (Billy), and Grandmother to William and Charlie. Survived by her older brother Jody Martin (Joanie), sisters Sharon McConnell, Jillian Walsh (Ron) and Jane Martin (Mike). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Her smiling happy face will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Duane Robert Thompson, and parents Charlie and Myrtle Martin. She will be missed by the girls at the Riverine, as they knit and drink wine without her. Her friends and family will deeply miss receiving hilarious cards from her on special occasions. It is important to remember Shelley wouldn’t want us to cry but to raise a glass of ginger ale and eat plain Lays potato chips in her honour. Family and friends will gather at the Roselawn Cemetery 2451 County. Rd. 15, Maitland on Saturday, September 21st at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation 600-60 St. Clair Avenue East Toronto, Ontario M4T 1N5 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
