Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2019 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Roger will be sadly missed by his children Theresa deJong (Trevor) and Roger Smith (Susan) and their mother Judy Smith. Dear grandfather of Ryan and Jack deJong and Mary Ann and Clifford Smith. Survived by his siblings Donna Brisson (Ivan), David Smith (Marg), Shaunnette Dean and Shirley Sweet (Delmar). Predeceased by his parents Clifford & Mary Smith (nee Simpson) and his sisters Carol Vallier (Les) and Sandra Spicer. In keeping with Roger’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association 993 Princess Street #1407, Unit 14 Kingston, Ontario K7L 1H3 would be appreciated by the family.
