It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bernie peacefully at home with family around him on December 3, 2018. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sue, son Andy (Liz) grandsons Matthew, Rob and Ryan all of Newmarket, Ont.Step-son Harry Brewer (Alanna) grandchildren Owen and Ella. Sister Catherine Eves (David), sister-in-law Jacqui Princ Gananoque, and mother-in-law Bernetta Mundell Kingston. Brother-in-laws John Aitchison (Melanie) Hamilton, Doug Aitchison (Tina) Florida,Barry Aitchison (Diane) Burlington, Ed Aitchison (Nancy) Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews . Predeceased by his first wife Joan - Andy's mom, parents Leonard and Rose Deir , brothers Harold, Danny, John, Dennis and sister Mary. As per Bernie's wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be welcomed at St. Philomena Catholic Church on Howe Island on Saturday December 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion #631 Collins Bay. In lieu of flowers donations to the UHKF - Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario , #4-55 Rideau Street, Kingston, Ontario K7K 2Z8 would be appreciated by the family.
