Cooper Arthur Lloyd
"With great sadness we announce the passing of Arthur Lloyd Cooper on May 27,2017 just shy of his 89th birthday. Lloyd was predeceased in December 2016 by the love of his life Laura Cooper, married 66 years.
He is survived by his children Rick(Kathy), Bryan (Darlene), Elaine (Max), Dianne (Kevin), Jo-Anne (Mark) and Mike ,14 loving grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his eldest son Garry and daughter in law Melanie.
Lloyd was fortunate enough to be able to reside at his beloved Sand Lake home where he loved to pass time sitting on his swing on the deck. He enjoyed fishing, whistling at the loons, and feeding "his" heron Blue. Dad loved and had a strong connection with nature and every animal he came into contact with. Dad was known for helping those around him, making and donating wooden toys and rocking horses for local causes and children's wards, helping out community members in need etc. He started out as a truck driver and then had a long career in life insurance. After he "retired" he had a paper route for the Ottawa Citizen and delivered library books to local libraries,and
had a larger than life presence and will be deeply missed.
At Lloyd's request there will be no service. Our family expresses our deep appreciation and gratitude to all the staff at the Perth Community Care Centre for their compassion and amazing care of our father/grandfather. Their genuine affection for him was obvious and meant the world to us. It will never be forgotten.
