McCarthy, Charles Joseph, On November 1,2015 at Smiths Falls Hospital, Charles Joseph McCarthy in his 77th year,peacefully entered God's embrace. His sense of humour and willingness to help those in need will be remembered by his wife of 48 years, Maureen (Courneya), children Brian(Joy) Smiths Falls, Julianne (Dean Ryder) of Westport and Adam of Vancouver as well as his grandchildren Connor, Jaina ,Patrick and Brianna McCarthy and Taryn Ryder. Charlie was the second born to Felix and Belle (Henderson) McCarthy. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Mary Eleanor (Garlough) and Joseph, and is survived by his sister Annabelle (George Gaffney) of Vancouver and numerous in-laws,nieces,nephews and cousins. A funeral mass will be held at St. Columbanus Catholic Church Elgin ,Ontario at 11:00 am Saturday November 7,2015. Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Charlie's life at the Elgin Lion's Hall following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations to St.Columbanus Church Cemetery Fund, Westport Lions Mobility Fund, or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
