Van Luven, Freda Mary Theresa (nee Conley)
May 7 1932- September 14 2011
Freda passed peacefully surrounded by the loving family which formed the centre of her life. She was born on Wolf Island, ON, to the late Raymond and Anna (Finn) Conley. Freda will now reunite with her much loved husband Jack who left us in 1992 after 39 years of marriage. She was predeceased by her siblings Jim, Louise De Vaul and her twin brother Fred. Freda was a caring mother to her five children: Anne (Roy) Baron, Margaret (Laureat) Lecours, Deborah (Doug) Jordan, Cheryl (Rob) Grimwood and John (Joanne) Van Luven. Freda was so proud of her grandchildren; Curtis and Laura Baron, Mallory,Brooke and Aaron Lecours, Emma and Mary Jordon, Amy (Lejean) Pitts and Robbie Grimwood, Ashley, Hannah and Taylor Van Luven and great-grandchildren; Olivia and Ainsley Baron, Rachel and Ethan Varrette and Naomi Pitts. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Margaret Conley and her many nieces and nephews. Always a lover of animals, Freda will especially be missed by her cat, Pumpkin. Freda was a dedicated employee with Corrections Canada for many years. As was Freda's request, there will be no visitation, and a private family service. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday September 19 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Monty's in Tir Nan Og, 200 Ontario St Kingston to share some stories and raise a glass to celebrate her life.
