Passed away peacefully in his 85th year at Kingston General Hospital on Monday September 29th ,2014.John is predeceased by his wife Shirley, parents, Ethel and Ernest Simmons of Nova Scotia, sister Ruth and her husband George and brother Busse. Survived by sister Joan and husband Bob Berry and sister in law, Joan Simmons.Also survived by sons Clyde ( Liz), Clayton ( Lori), Steven and Cameron; grandchildren Nick, Chelsea and Jesse and great grandchild Lily. John is also survived by common-in-law spouse, Sandy Hinch, her children Jimmy( Wendy) and their children Issac and Lucas; son Fraser and his children Quinn, Taylon and Sienna. Cremation has taken place.,and a private family burial will be held at a later date. As expression of sympathy, donations in John's memory may be made to UHKF Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario 55 Rideau Street Unit 4, Kingston, Ontario K7K 2Z8
